Julia Roberts (Eat Pray Love) shows her evil side in Mirror Mirror, the hit movie based on the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs fairy tale.
The family fantasy stars Roberts as The Queen, who ruthlessly rules her captured kingdom. Lily Collins (Priest) plays Snow White, who joins forces with seven rebel dwarfs to reclaim her birthright and win her prince (Armie Hammer, J. Edgar).
Nathan Lane (The Lion King), Sean Bean (TV’s Game of Thrones) and Mare Winningham (TV’s Hatfields & McCoys) also are in the film’s cast.
Much like director Tarsem Singh’s Immortals, the PG-rated Mirror Mirror got mixed reviews from critics and moviegoers. But the movie still grossed $135.4 million when it was in theaters.
Both the DVD and Blu-ray contain special features. On the DVD are two featurettes:
- “Looking Through the Mirror”
- and “Prince and Puppies.”
The Blu-ray includes:
- dance-along to the song “I Believe in Love”
- interactive storybook
- four deleted scenes
- alternative opening
- digital copy of the movie.
