Chris Rock (Death at a Funeral) and Julie Delpy (Guilty Hearts) star in the 2012 independent comedy film 2 Days in New York, which was directed and co-written by Ms. Delpy.

Hip talk-radio host and journalist Mingus (Rock) and his French photographer girlfriend, Marion (Delpy), live cozily in a New York apartment with their cat and two young children from previous relationships. But when Marion’s jolly father (Albert Delpy) , her oversexed sister (Alexia Landeau), and her sister’s outrageous boyfriend (Alexandre Nahon)  unceremoniously descend upon them for an overseas visit, it initiates two unforgettable days of family mayhem.

A sequel to Delpy’s 2007 movie 2 Days in Paris, this R-rated follow-up received okay notices from the critics, with a rating of 6.2/10 at Rotten Tomatoes based on 62 published reviews. It’s middling status was reflected at the domestic box office as it rang up a disappointing $615,000 during its limited roll-out to theaters in August, 2012.
