Escape movie scene

Ingrid Bolsø Berdal means business in Escape.

It’s 1363, ten years after the Black Death has ravaged the land and killed half the population, leaving the rest to try to escape the pervasive death and search for a better life elsewhere. But it’s difficult to find places untouched by the plague in a world where lawless gangs rule the land. After a poor family on a desolate mountain pass is ambushed by a pack of merciless killers, they only spare the life of the 19-year-old Signe (Isabel Christine Andreasen).  Taken captive by the savages, Signe soon learns she’s intended a fate worse than death. Understanding that her only solution is escape, she manages to flee her captors and the chase is on…

Also starring Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters) and Kristian Espedal (Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey), Escape was released to theaters in its native Norway in 2012 and will have a theatrical opening in Russia in June, 2013.

Presented in Norwegian with English subtitles, this unrated flick looks like a rugged, swords-a-swingin’ stuff, at least as far as I could tell from the trailer. Check it out:
