Exploding SunCanadian TV movie Exploding Sun examines an end-of-the-world scenario in the vein of Armageddon and Deep Impact.

Julia Ormond (Temple Grandin), David James Elliott (TV’s JAG), Natalie Brown (TV’s Being Human) and Anthony Lemke (Lost Girl) star in the science-fiction film, which starts with the first commercial flight into space.

Unfortunately, a solar storm affects the vehicle’s engine, sending it hurtling toward the sun and triggering an even larger solar storm that could destroy the planet. The future of the world is now in the hands of two men who will risk their lives to save all of humanity.

The DVD and Blu-ray contain an extended version of the movie, which premiered on ReelzChannel.
