Breathe In movie scene

Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones fall prey to their passion in Breathe In.

Guy Pearce (Lockout) and Felicity Jones (Chalet Girl) star in the 2013 drama-romance Breathe In, concerning a restless married man who finds his emotional life rekindled by the arrival of a young apparent soul mate.

Middle-aged high school music teacher Keith Reynolds (Pearce) lives a comfortable if unexciting life in a suburb north of New York City with his wife Megan (Amy Ryan, Escape Plan) and teenage daughter Lauren (Mackenzie Davis, TV’s Halt and Catch Fire). His sleepy life  is re-energized when teenage British exchange student and piano prodigy Sophie (Jones) comes to stay with the family. The mutual attraction between teacher and student is immediate – despite the fact that Sophie is the same age as Lauren. When Keith and Sophie’s shared passion for music progresses to the next level, their forbidden relationship threatens to destroy everything…!

The R-rated film directed by Drake Doremus received a limited release to about 13 theaters in the U.S. in March, 2014, to generally so-so reviews, rating a 5.7/10 at Rotten Tomatoes based on 71 published reviews.

We haven’t received word if there are any special features scheduled for the Blu-ray or DVD.
