Code named The November Man; Peter Devereaux (Brosnan) is a lethal and highly trained ex-CIA agent who has been living in Switzerland. When Devereaux is lured out of retirement to safeguard a beautiful witness targeted for assassination (Olga Kurylenko, Centurion), he’s drawn into a deadly game of cat and mouse with his former friend and protégé David Mason (Luke Bracey). With no one to trust, Peter must survive Mason’s relentless assault, and root out a suspected CIA mole who may pose the greatest threat of all.
Directed by Roger Donaldson (Dante’s Peak, also starring Brosnan), the R-rated film was release wide to U.S. theaters in August, 2014, ringing up a so-so $25 million at the box office. That’s not a big surprise, as the critics gave the film a 4.7/10 rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on 104 published reviews.
But Brosnan is Brosnan, Kurylenko is hot, and Donaldson has shown he can mount a competent genre flick (see The Bank Job, The Recruit and No Way Out), so we’re gonna give this one a shot!
