Featuring a memorable, award-winning score by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, highlighted by the deathless “Try to Remember,” the movie version of the perennial off-Broadway musical smash The Fantasticks (2000) makes its Blu-ray debut from Twilight Time.

Director Michael Ritchie’s film version of The Fantasticks was actually made five years before it was actually released, with an assist from Francis Ford Coppola.

A charm-drenched period-piece musical, The Fantasticks tells the story of a pair of potential young lovers (Jean Louisa Kelly, Joey McIntyre) whose romance is assisted/derailed by the machinations of their fathers, played to a fare-thee-well by Joel Grey (Cabaret) and Brad Sullivan.
