Paul Newman goes West in Hombre.

Paul Newman goes West in Hombre.

The filmmaking team of director Martin Ritt (Norma Rae) and screenwriters Irving Ravetch and Harriet Frank Jr. created this revisionist Western that offers a variation on the theme of Stagecoach. Paul Newman portrays the titular Apache-raised white man, initially despised by his fellow stagecoach passengers, who is then appealed to for help when a savage robbery/kidnapping leaves them in peril.

The movie also stars Fredric March (Inherit the Wind), Richard Boone (Big Jake), Martin Balsam (Psycho), and Diane Cilento (The Wicker Man).

As supplier Twilight Time prints up only 3,000 copies of each title, the time to order your Blu-ray discs directly from distributor Screen Archives is NOW!
