In the film, Hawke is veteran Air Force pilot Tom Egan, who yearns to get back into the cockpit of a plane. But that’s not the case, as he currently launches drone strikes from an air-conditioned box in the Las Vegas desert. When Egan starts taking orders directly from the CIA, the stakes are raised and Egan’s nerves—and his relationship with his wife (January Jones, TV’s Mad Men)—begin to unravel.
The critics like the film enough, with it garnering a 76% at Rotten Tomatoes based on 99 published reviews. But released in a limited theatrical capacity in May, 2105, the movie made only $320,000 at the box office.
