When aspiring model Jesse (Elle Fanning, Somewhere) moves to Los Angeles, her youth and vitality are devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will use any means necessary to get what she has.  Any means necessary….

Featuring an effective electronic soundtrack by Cliff Martinez and costumes designed by Erin Benach, both of whom collaborated with Refn on his 2011 crime thriller Drive, The Neon Demon also features Jena Malone (Inherent Vice), Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows), Christina Hendricks (TV’s Mad Men), and Keanu Reeves (John Wick) in its cast.

Special features on the Blu-ray and DVD release include audio commentary with Refn and star Fanning and two featurettes – “Behind the Soundtrack of The Neon Demon and “About The Neon Demon.”

The bizarre but undeniably stylish film received a tepid 53% rating at aggregator RottenTomatoes based on 177 published reviews. Glenn Kenny of The New York Times memorably declared that the the film was “hot garbage that dares you to call it offensive. In addition, it’s offensive.”
