Based on a true story of survival and bravery, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage stars Nicolas Cage (The Trust), Tom Sizemore (Red Planet) and Thomas Jane (HBO’s Hung).

USS-indianapolis-1_optCage stars as the captain of the USS Indianapolis, a boat tasked with the top-secret mission of delivering the A-Bomb in the Pacific at the end of World War II. After the task was accomplished, the boat was disastrously torpedoed by the Japanese, leading to an even more horrific situation involving the capsizing of the boat, starvation, thirst and subsequent attacks by sharks.

Directed by Mario Van Peebles , the action war movie also stars James Remar (48 Hrs.) and Max Ryan (Death Race).

Barely released in October, 2016 to a limited number of theaters, the film received a miserable 9% aggregate rating at Rotten Tomatoes based upon 11 published reviews. Strangely enough, Rex Reed liked it!
