The complete three-season run of Showtime’s critically acclaimed horror drama TV series Penny Dreadful stars Josh Hartnett (40 Days and 40 Nights), Timothy Dalton (The Rocketeer) and Eva Green (Perfect Sense).

The show sets out to completely reinvent some of literature’s most famous characters. Icons of terror such as Victor Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and timeless figures from Dracula join a core of original characters in a dark and brutal quest to save a soul – even as they grapple with their own monstrous temptations. Set in the 19th Century, the stories are in the style of the British “penny dreadful” publications of that time period, lurid serial stories appearing in parts over a number of weeks.

Created by three-time Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan (Skyfall, Hugo) and co-exec-produced by Oscar winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty), the series also stars Rory Kinnear (Skyfall), Billie Piper (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) and Harry Treadaway (The Lone Ranger).

The three-disc Blu-ray and DVD sets contain all three seasons of the show as well as such bonus features as behind-the-scenes footage, character profiles and cast interviews.
