Paramount Home Entertainment and Comedy Central celebrated the South Park character Butters with a DVD gift set on Sept. 28, 2010. Priced at $29.99, South Park: A Little Box of Butters is a collectible box featuring 13 remastered widescreen episodes of the television series, focusing on the beloved, golden-haired character of Leopold “Butters” Stotch.
Exclusive to the two-DVD set is the “It’s Butters! A Trivia Game,” allowing fans to test their Butters knowledge with friends. The box also is filled with treasures from Butters’ past as well as a reminder of his misadventures, such as:
- A pimp chain from “Butters’ Bottom Bitch” episode (#1309)
Inspector Butters Badge from ”Butters Very Own Episode” episode (# 514)- manuscript of the lost chapter from “The Poop That Took A Pee” from “The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs” episode (#1402)
- a cancelled check from Paris Hilton from “Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset” episode (#812)
When the DVD was released, the animated TV show, created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, was in its 14th season and remained the highest-rated series on Comedy Central, according to Paramount.
