New Release: The Dry Land Blu-ray and DVD

Drama movie The Dry Land was released on Blu-ray and DVD on Nov. 9, 2010, by Maya Entertainment. The Blu-ray and DVD were priced at $29.88 and $27.98, respectively.

The feature film debut from writer/director Ryan Piers Williams, The Dry Land concerns a U.S. soldier (Ryan O’Nan, the upcoming 513) returning home from the war in Iraq and his struggles in reconciling his experiences abroad with the life and family he left in Texas.

The Dry Land Blu-ray boxAlso starring in the independent film are America Ferrera (TV’s Ugly Betty), Melissa Leo (TV’s Treme), Jason Ritter (TV’s The Event) and Wilmer Valderrama (TV’s That 70s Show). The supporting cast includes Ana Claudia Talancòn (Love in the Time of Cholera), Benito Martinez (TV’s The Shield) and Ethan Suplee (TV’s My Name is Earl).

A 2010 Sundance Film Festival selection, The Dry Land received a limited release in theaters in July.

No supplemental features are on the DVD or Blu-ray.
