Action movie The A-Team, based on the 1980s TV show, debuted on DVD
Starring Liam Neeson (Taken), Bradley Cooper (The Hangover), Sharlto Copley (District 9) and Ultimate Fighting Champion star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, The A-Team grossed $77 million in theaters.
In the film, four Special Forces soldiers (Neeson, Cooper, Copley and Jackson) are convicted by military court for a crime they didn’t commit and must break out of prison to stop the real culprit from commiting a bigger crime. Jessica Biel (Next) and Patrick Wilson (Hard Candy) also star in the movie, which also boasts some fun cameos by the actors from the original TV show.
The DVD was priced at $29.98, but the two-disc Blu-ray set was $39.99 and contains these special features:
- featurette “The Devil is in the Details: Inside the Action With Joe Carnahan,” director and co-writer of the movie
- deleted scenes
- a gag reel
- “A-Team Theme Mash-Up Montage”
- featurette “Plan of Attack”
- “Character Chronicles” for Neeson, Cooper, Jackson, Copley and Biel
- commentary with visual effects supervisor James E. Price on the movie’s extensive visual effects
- and a downloadable digital copy of the movie.
That’s all in addition to both the PG-13 theatrical version of the film and the extended cut.
