New Release: My Own Love Song Blu-ray and DVD

My Own Love Song movie scene

Renee Zellweger and Forest Whitaker carry the tune in My Own Love Song.

My Own Love Song, the 2010 road movie comedy-drama starring Renee Zellweger (Case 39) and Forest Whitaker (Repo Men), arrived on Blu-ray and DVD on May 3, 2011, from Inception Media.

Written and directed by French artist and filmmaker Olivier Dahan (La Vie en Rose), My Own Love Song tells the story of wheelchair-bound singer Jane (Zellweger) and her mentally unstable best friend Joey as they set out on a cross-country in search of redemption, self-discovery and courage — you know, all those things one sets out to “find” when taking to the highway on an extended road trip.

The movie also stars Nick Nolte (TV’s Rich Man, Poor Man) and Madeline Zima (TV’s Heroes).

Despite its impressive credentials — including star turns by two Oscar winners and a bunch of new and vintatge songs by none other than Bob Dylan — My Own Love Song premiered on DVD in the U.S., following a brief run in theaters in France and a screening at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival.

No bonus features are on the Blu-ray and DVD , which are priced at $29.98 and $26.98, respectively.
