New Release: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Blu-ray/DVD Gift Set

Hands up everyone who’s tired of buying a movie on DVD or Blu-ray on its release day, then seeing a new bigger set released a few weeks later. All of you? Yeah, me too. All of the studios are guilty, but the latest is from Warner Home Video, which is now selling a limited edition Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Blu-ray/DVD Gift Set exclusively on its own WBShop.com.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Blu-ray/DVD Gift SetThe Gift Set has the fantasy movie in an acrylic case with two 3D lenticular cards of Harry and Voldemort wands at the ready. But other than that, the set looks the same as the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack that was released on April 15, 2011. That set was awesome without the cards. (Read our review.)

Both the already available Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and Warner’s exclusive Gift Set include the PG-13-rated film on high-definition Blu-ray, standard-definition DVD and downloadable digital copy.

Plus, they both have these special features:

  • Maximum Movie Mode hosted by actor Jason Isaacs (Soldier) and others
  • additional scenes
  • and featurettes including “On the Green” with actors Rupert Grint, Tom Felton and Oliver and James Phelps, “The Seven Harrys” with Daniel Radcliffe and more.
