A Little Help movie scene

Jenna Fischer is simply looking for A Little Help.

The independent comedy drama film A Little Help offers a story about life’s quirky turns and how everyone needs to be rescued from its growing lunacy every now and then.

The 2010 movie stars the ever-adorable Jenna Fischer (TV’s The Office) as Laura, who wants nothing more than to run her own life smoothly but that’s easier said than done. A Long Island dental hygienist, Laura relies on guilty pleasures — cigarettes and beer — to help her cope with an unruly lifestyle. Dealing with her unfaithful husband Bob (Chris O’Donnell, TV’s NCIS: Los Angeles), an overbearing family and a brother-in-law (Rob Benedict, TV’s Supernatural) who has loved her since high school, Laura could use a little help — particularly after her husband suddenly dies!

Written and directed by Michael Weithorn (co-creator of TV’s King of Queens), A Little Help received a limited release to theaters in July, 2010, where it grossed approximately $90,000.

The R-rated movie includes the following bonus features:

  • cast interviews
  • Jakob Dylan music video
  • trailer and TV spot

Here’s the film’s trailer, which looks kinda cute:
