As part of its centennial celebration, Paramount Home Entertainment has launched a monthly sweepstakes that will send winners to destinations inspired by classic movies.

The studio is debuting a new classic film from its library on high-definition Blu-ray each month in 2012 under a theme that celebrates part of Paramount’s cinematic history. Under the January theme of “Best Picture Winners,” the first Blu-ray release in the program is 1927 World War I drama film Wings, the first movie to ever win an Academy Award for Best Picture. Wings will be released on Jan. 24.

February’s theme is “Love Stories,” with the Blu-ray debut of the classic 1970 romance Love Story arriving on Feb. 7.

Other movies in Paramount’s program include classic Alfred Hitchcock thriller To Catch a Thief on March 6, neo-noir classic Chinatown on April 3, comedy Clueless on May 1, John Wayne western Hondo on June 5, futuristic adventure Barbarella on July 3 and comedy mystery Clue on Aug. 7.

Winners of the sweepstakes, which is sponsored by Delta Vacations, will get roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations for three nights in cities in any of the 48 contiguous United States, inspired by Paramount’s classic films.

Potential destinations include New York City where Francis Ford Coppolla’s The Godfather and the classic romance Breakfast at Tiffany‘s were filmed, Chicago where Ferris Bueller had is day off, San Antonio where Wings was filmed, or Hollywood, the setting and subject of Sunset Boulevard as well as countless other movies.

Consumers can go to Paramount’s Facebook page to enter every month for a chance to win the sweepstakes.
