Various authorities search for the young lovers while a violent storm is brewing, all threatening to turn the coastal town upside down.

Moonrise Kingdom boasts a first class, including Edward Norton (Red Dragon), Bill Murray (Lost in Translation), Frances McDormand (Almost Famous), Tilda Swinton (The Man From London), Bruce Willis (Red), Harvey Keitel (Taxi Driver), Bob Balaban (Howl) and Anderson film staple Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore).

As well as directing, Anderson wrote the script with Roman Coppola, who also paired up on The Darjeeling Limited (along with Schwartzman).
