The British action-filled crime drama film The Sweeney stars the always-great Ray Winstone (Snow White and The Huntsman) as a hard-hitting London detective.

The Sweeney Flying Squad, London’s elite crime-fighting force – a branch of the Metropolitan Police–specializes in tackling armed robbery and violent crime. Led by legendary Detective Jack Regan (Winstone) and his loyal partner (musician Ben Drew), the group is not afraid to use old school, bare-knuckle tactics to bring down the modern underworld. Now, with a master criminal (Paul Anderson, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows) on the loose and a major bank heist in progress, Regan will do whatever it takes to get the job done, even if that means defying the orders of his boss (Damian Lewis, TV’s Homeland) and taking the law into his own hands.

Directed by Nick Love and based on the popular 1970s U.K. television show of the same name, The Sweeney co-stars Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger), who undoubtedly brings something curvy to the rough-edged crime flick.

Well-received in its native England, the R-rated movie opened in a limited number of U.S. theaters earlier this month to equally solid reviews from Stateside critics.

No bonus features have been announced for the discs.
