The Mindy ProjectAfter making a name for herself on the U.S. version of The Office, Mindy Kaling got her own show, aptly titled The Mindy Project.

In the sitcom, Kaling plays Mindy Lahiri, an ob/gyn trying to balance her personal and professional life amid quirky co-workers in a small office.

The TV show also stars Chris Messina (Argo), Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) and Mark Duplass (Zero Dark Thirty).

Kaling was the first female writer on The Office, when she was 24.

Like The Office, The Mindy Project stumbled in its early days. In January 2013, it was listed as a show likely to be canceled. But the comedy series picked up fans, and its season one finale scored big, with EW proclaiming, “Definitely Mindy!”

The Mindy Project: Season One contains all 24 episodes on three DVDs.
