The Sword of Doom movie sceneTatsuya Nakadai (Harakiri) and Toshiro Mifune (Throne of Blood) star in the 1966 samurai action thriller movie The Sword of Doom, the story of a wandering samurai who exists in a maelstrom of violence.

A gifted swordsman plying his craft during the turbulent final days of shogunate rule in Japan, Ryunosuke (Nakadai) kills without remorse or mercy. It is a way of life that ultimately leads to madness.

Presented in Japanese with English subtitles, Criterion’s Blu-ray edition of Kihachi Okamoto’s swordplay classic (Criterion released a DVD edition back in 2005) contains the following:
