The film indirectly examines the Irish “troubles” by focusing on Danny (Stephen Rea, Blackthorn), an innocent saxophonist who witnesses the murder of his band’s manager and a deaf-mute bystander. His life subsequently falls apart, destroying his relationship with the band’s singer (Honor Heffernan) and leading him to vow vengeance.

The gorgeous Angel is highlighted by cinematography from the great Chris Menges (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close).

As supplier Twilight Time prints up only 3,000 copies of each title, be sure to keep an eye on the Twilight Time site or that of their distributor Screen Archives for the announcement of the prebook date (usually 2-3 weeks before the title’s street date) and get ready to reserve!
