Jennifer Lawrence is Joy
The comedy-drama Joy starring Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) offers the inspire-by-real-life tale of an extended, multi-generational family centered on the girl who becomes the woman who creates a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right.
Of course, various example of betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love pave the road along the way as Joy’s inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces.
For Joy, Lawrence reunites with filmmaker David O. Russell (The Fighter), who previously collaborated with her on Silver Linings Playbook (for which she won a Best Actress Oscar) and American Hustle.
Also appearing in the film are previous Russell collaborators Robert De Niro (The Intern) and Bradley Cooper (American Sniper).
