The comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates stars the appealing quartet of Adam Devine (The Intern), Zac Efron (Neighbors), Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect) and Aubrey Plaza (Dirty Grandpa).
In order to avoid embarrassing their family, hard-partying brothers Mike (Devine) and Dave (Efron) place an online ad to find “respectable” dates for their sister’s Hawaiian wedding. Instead, the boys find themselves out-hustled by an uncontrollable duo (Kendrick and Plaza). Not surprisingly, wacky hijinks ensue…
The summer comedy rated poorly with the critics, garnering a pretty lousy 34% rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on published reviews and a slightly more positive response of $46 million at the domestic box office upon its wide release in July, 2016.
