Paul Giamatti (l.) and Damian Lewis in Billions

A 21st-century examination of the profit and peril of chasing the American dream.  The television series melds the worlds of ultra-wealth, influence and corruption as personified in two highly ambitious opposing figures: hard-charging, blue-blooded, politically connected U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) and brilliant, calculating, blue-collar billionaire hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis).  Set amongst the Machiavellian machinations of New York City power politics and finance, Billions also features Maggie Siff (TV’s Sons of Anarchy) as Wendy Rhoades, Chuck’s equally ambitious wife who also happens to be part of Axe Capital’s senior executive team, along with Malin Akerman (Wanderlust) who stars as Lara Axelrod, Bobby’s fiercely loyal and street-smart wife.

Season One arrives as a four-disc collection that includes all 12 episodes of the debut season and is packed with bonus content including Street Slang, which features interviews with the show’s creators  as they discuss developing an entire language of their own for the series. Also included in the bonus content is a Character Profiles featurette, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at Axe, Chuck, Wendy and Lara; while Character Development dives deeper into the characters. Location: New York includes interviews with the locations manager and producers as they discuss exploring the benefits and difficulties of shooting in and around the city. Shadows and Light features a series of interviews with the locations manager as he discusses the lighting used throughout the series.
