T2 Trainspotting is the sequel to the 1995 pop culture phenomenon Trainspotting. How long did you think we could keep that from you!?

Twenty years have gone by since the events of Trainspotting. Much has changed but just as much remains the same. Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor, Haywire) returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him: Spud (Ewen Bremner, Perfect Sense), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller, Byzantium), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle, Ravenous). Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.

Yes, the entire original cast has returned, as well as director Danny Boyle (Trance) and screenwriter John Hodge.

Though the critics liked the film—it garnered a 75% on Rotten Tomatoes based upon 195 published   reviews, T2 didn’t make much noise in Stateside theaters. In fact, it only pulled in miniscule $2.2 million at the domestic box office upon its limited release in March, 2017.

The 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and digital releases of the comedy-drama include over 30 minutes of deleted scenes, commentary with Boyle and Hodge and the featurette “20 Years in the Making: A Conversation with Danny Boyle and the Cast.”
