Good Neighbors movie scene

Jay Baruchel prepares to do some drilling in Good Neighbors.

Set in Quebec, the 2010 Canadian dark comedy Good Neighbors follows three neighbors — Spencer (Scott Speedman, Barney’s Version), Louise (Emily Hampshire, The Trotsky) and new tenant Victor (Jay Baruchel, She’s Out Of My League) — as they bond over a recent string of murders taking place in their community. As the trio learns more about each other and the horror of what lies outside their building escalates, dark secrets unfold and they soon learn that nowhere is safe.

Written and directed by Jacob Tierney (This Is My Father), the R-rated thriller movie made its debut at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival and played a limited run in U.S. theaters in late July, 2011, to generally above-average reviews from the critics.

Among the bonus features on the Blu-ray and DVD are a making-of featurette and the HDNet program “A Look at Good Neighbors.”

Check out the trailer, which looks much more thrilling than funny:
