Dirty Girl movie scene

Juno Temple is a gal with a rep in Dirty Girl.

Rising star Juno Temple (Kaboom) stars as an Oklahoma gal with a  reputation in the 2010 independent comedy Dirty Girl.

Set in Norman, Oklahoma, circa 1987, the movie tells the story of Danielle (Temple), a high school girl whose notorious reputation gets her banished to a remedial class, where she is paired on a parenting project with Clarke (Jeremy Dozier), an innocent closet-case with no friends.

When her mother (Milla Jovovich, Stone) announces her engagement to her family-minded boyfriend (William H. Macy, The Lincoln Lawyer), mortified Danielle vows to get to California to find the father she’s never met. Desperate to escape his own personal hell, Clarke decides to join in for her cross-country road trip…!

Written and directed by first-time feaure filmmaker Abe Sylvia, Dirty Girl also stars Mary Steenburgen (Elf), Dwight Yoakam (Panic Room) and Nicholas D’Agosto (From Prada to Nada).

With a  soundtrack that’s packed with songs from such 1980s rock divas as Melissa Manchester, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Sheena Easton and Belinda Carlisle, Dirty Girl received a limited release to U.S. theaters in October, 2011, to so-so reviews from critics.

Here’s the trailer, which finds Juno and company in high spirits:
