New Release: Possession DVD and Blu-ray

Possession DVD boxSarah Michelle Gellar returned to creepy thriller roles with Possession, which was released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 9, 2010, from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

The movie tells the story of a woman (Gellar) who grapples with fear and grief when a car accident puts her husband and his brother in a coma. But the plot really thickens when the brother wakes up claiming to be her husband.

With Possession, Gellar performs in another American adaptation of a Japanese films, like The Grudge. Possession is based on the 2002 Japanese movie Addicted.

Starring as the comatose brothers are Burlesque‘s Michael Landes (the husband) and Pushing Daisies‘ Lee Pace (the brother).

Although the film wasn’t released in theaters in the U.S., it was received reasonably well by critics.

The DVD was priced at $22.98 and Blu-ray at $29.99. The special features menu includes a featurette, four deleted or alternate scenes and an alternate ending.
