New Release: The Top 100 NFL’s Greatest Players DVD

Warner Home Video, the National Football League and NFL Films teamed up to release The Top 100: NFL’s Greatest Players DVD on Jan. 11, 2011, just in time for the playoffs, for a suggested retail price of $44.98.

The Top 100: NFL’s Greatest Players aired as a 10-part series on the NFL Network.

The list is based on the polling of a blue-ribbon panel that includes both current and former NFL coaches, players and front office personnel, as well as noted NFL media members, Hall of Fame voters and league historians. Some of those polled include Ernie Accorsi (former Giants general manager), Cris Collinsworth (former player and NBC game analyst), Mike Brown (Bengals owner), Pat Summerall (former NFL sportscaster), Dick Vermeil (former NFL head coach) and Peter King (NFL writer).

Players from all eras of league history are presented by a gallery of greats from on and off the gridiron, which goes inside the numbers to present a true picture of players’ impacts on the game and the times.

Special features on the four-DVD set include the following:

  • outtakes
  • and never-before-released footage from the show’s exclusive interviews.
