The Romantics movie sceneJust in time for Valentine’s Day, Paramount Home Entertainment released the drama romance The Romantics on DVD on Feb. 8, 2011.

The film, which is based on the acclaimed novel by Galt Niederhoffer (who directed the movie), stars Katie Holmes (The Extra Man), Anna Paquin (TV’s True Blood), Josh Duhamel (When in Rome), Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings trilogy), Adam Brody (TV’s The O.C.), Malin Akerman (Couples Retreat), Dianna Agron (TV’s Glee) and Candice Bergen (TV’s Boston Legal).

The story follows seven college friends who reunite for the wedding of two of their own. But things get complicated when feelings are rekindled between the groom (Duhamel) and the maid of honor (Holmes).

The Romantics was released in a handful of theaters, grossing less then $100,000.

Rated PG-13, the film was priced at $19.99 on DVD. The special features list offers a behind-the-scenes featurette.
