Miley Cyrus is a private investigator in So Undercover.

Miley Cyrus (LOL) stars as, gulp, a private investigator in the 2012 action-comedy film So Undercover.

Miley is Molly Morris, a young P.I. who chose to leave high school to work with her cousin (Mike O’Malley), a former police officer. Together, their days are filled with busting cheating spouses and taking down petty thieves. But Miley’s life—er, make that Molly’s life—takes an unexpected turn when she is approached by an FBI agent (Jeremy Piven, TV’s Entourage) to go undercover in the one place they’re unable to infiltrate, and a world she knows nothing about…college. Namely, a snooty college sorority.

Directed by Tom Vaughn and written by Alan Loeb, the film also stars Autumn Reeser (The Big Bang), Kelly Osbourne, and Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect).

So Undercover didn’t receive much positive buzz over the course of the year prior to its release. Maybe that’s why it’s being issued as a DVD Premiere! That makes two so-so releases for Ms. Cyrus over the past year, following last spring’s LOL.
