Maybe he's amazed: Paul McCartney delivers in Rockshow

The 1980 concert movie Rockshow was shot in 1975-76 when Paul McCartney & Wings undertook the epic “Wings over the World’ tour, which proved to be the largest-scale tour the ex-Beatle would ever undertake with his new band.

Packed with all the classic Wings hits – plus some of The Beatles’ and Paul’s solo classics – the movie was filmed on this tour at the enormous Kingdome in Seattle. Rockshow, originally a cut down version of the concert, didn’t premiere in theaters until  November 1980 in New York and April 1981 in London.  It was originally released on Betamax  and later on laserdisc, but this Eagle Rock release represents the first time the complete  concert is being made available.

Reportedly, Sir Paul had for years remained reluctant to issue the entire film to the general public. But no more!!

The film was fully restored from the original 35mm film and with restored & remastered sound, including a 5.1 mix for the first time.

Prior to the DVD and Blu-ray’s release, the film will be released in theaters digitally theatrically for a “one night only” event on May 15. For more details, check out rockshowonscreen.com.
