The 1959 Biblical epic Solomon and Sheba, the last film of the great director King Vidor (Bird of Paradise), makes its Blu-ray debut from Twilight Time.

SolomonSheba1_optThe movie stars The Ten Commandments‘ Yul Brynner (replacing Tyrone Power, who tragically died on set) as the wise leader and singer of songs, Solomon, who finds his world turned upside down with the appearance of the wily temptress Sheba (the magnificently upholstered Gina Lollobrigida).

Solomon and Sheba also stars George Sanders, Marisa Pavan, David Farrar, and Harry Andrews; shot by Freddie Young (Lawrence of Arabia); and features a magnificent score by Mario Nascimbene.

As supplier Twilight Time prints up only 3,000 copies of each title, be prepared to preorder the title from distributor Screen Archives when it prebooks towards the end of February.
