Directed and co-written by Michael Caton-Jones, the coming-of-age comedy-drama Our Ladies is set in 1990s Scotland.

A group of Catholic school girls get an opportunity to go into Edinburgh for a choir competition, but they’re more interested in drinking, partying and hooking up than winning the competition.

Behind the scenes, Caton-Jones, in order to create a realistic bond between the leading actresses, sent his young actresses on a two-week bender in Scotland, which included various open bus tours and a trip to a Bavarian beer hall.
