New Release: Psychosis DVD

The charismatic Charisma Carpenter (oh come on, it’s funny!) fights for her life in the thriller Psychosis, which Entertainment One premiered on DVD in the U.S. on Jan. 11, 2011.

In the independent film, Carpenter (The Expendables, TV’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer) portrays Susan Golden, a successful horror novelist who moves to a picturesque and secluded countryside manor with her husband (Paul Sculfor, Baseline) to aid her in recovering from a nervous breakdown.

Unfortunately, Susan’s low-key, bucolic life takes a terrifying turn for the deadly when she begins having visions of a deranged psychopath and a massacre that happened 15 years earlier.

Directed by Reg Traviss, the R-rated Psychosis also stars Ricci Harnet (28 Days Later), Ty Glaser (It’s Alive), Bernard Kay (Steal This Movie) and Sean Chapman (Hellraiser).

The DVD contains 45 minutes of special features, including behind-the-scenes footage and deleted scenes.

The film premiered in London in summer 2010.

The Psychosis DVD carries a suggested retail price of $24.98.
