Larry David of Curb Your Enthusiasm fame (infamy?) stars in the HBO film comedy Clear History, which was written as a story outline by David and the creative team behind Curb.
In Clear History, David stars as Nathan, a marketing executive at a start-up electric car company who gives up his ten percent of the business after a petty argument with his boss (Jon Hamm, TV’s Mad Men). The company subsequently makes billions of dollars, destroying Nathan’s life and leaving him publicly humiliated. Ten years later, after changing his name to Rolly and moving to a small island off the Massachusetts coast, all is well – until something from the past threatens his new life.
Directed by Greg Mottola (Paul), the movie features an A-list ensemble that includes Bill Hader (TV’s Saturday Night Live), Phillip Baker Hall (Magnolia), Michael Keaton (Batman), Danny McBride (Your Highness), Eva Mendes (The Other Guys), Amy Ryan (Win Win), Kate Hudson (Something Borrowed) and David’s Curb co-star J.B. Smoove.
The film, which premiered on HBO in August, 2013, is a must for Curb fans who dig watching Larry getting himself in and out of undeniably sticky situations!
