Snake & MongooseSports movie Snake & Mongoo$e looks at drag racing in the 1960s and 1970s.

Jesse Williams (The Cabin in the Woods) stars as Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, and Richard Blake (I <3 Vampires) is his on-the-track nemesis Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen.

The independent film follows the racers’ rivalry from the early days of speedways through the peak of their popularity, including legendary races and the Hot Wheels partnership that created a global phenomenon.

Featuring a soundtrack that includes ZZ Top, Snake & Mongoose also star Kim Shaw (She’s Out of My League), Ian Ziering (McKenna Shoots for the Stars), Tim Blake Nelson (Big Miracle) and Noah Wyle (TV’s Falling Skies).

Part Days of Thunder, part Rush, the PG-13 movie is the first to be screened at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction and was shown in a handful of theaters. It arrived on digital and cable video-on-demand before DVD and Blu-ray.
