Chef movie scene

Jon Favreau gets behind the grill with his son in Chef.

A disenchanted master chef reclaims his love for cooking and his family during a road trip through some of America’s most mouthwatering food destinations in the comedy Chef, from writer/director/star Jon Favreau (Swingers).

An online feud with an influential food critic (Oliver Platt, Please Give) and a creative disagreement with his investor (Dustin Hoffman, Ishtar) convinces respected chef Carl Casper (Favreau) to hang up his apron at a posh Los Angeles bistro and get his mojo back in Miami’s Cuban-inspired cuisine. When his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara, Machete Kills) helps him get a fresh start with a rundown food truck, Carl and his best friend and sous chef Martin (John Leguizamo, Carlito’s Way) head across the country with Carl’s young son Percy on a culinary adventure that helps Carl rediscover what matters in life.

Also appearing in the film are Robert Downey Jr. (Ironman, Sherlock Holmes), Scarlett Johansson (Don Jon), Bobby Cannavale (Blue Jasmine ), and Amy Sedaris (TV’s Strangers with Candy).

Chef grew into a surprise hit after opening at U.S. theaters this past spring, where it has since rung up $27 million.

The Blu-ray and DVD contain the following bonus features:

•    Deleted Scenes
•    Feature Commentary by writer and director Jon Favreau, and chef and co-producer Roy Choi
