An “adult” crime thriller directed by Gordon Douglas (Harlow), The Detective (1968) stars Frank Sinatra (Kings Go Forth) as the titular protagonist, an incorruptible, no-nonsense cop wrapped up in a disturbing homicide case even as he attempts to deal with the disintegration of his marriage to wife Karen (Lee Remick, Anatomy of a Murder). Complicating matters is his new relationship with the wife (Jacqueline Bisset, Day for Night) of another murder victim.

The Detective 1968 ~ Frank SinatraJerry Goldsmith wrote the score, available on this Twilight Time release as an isolated track. Other bonus features include an audio commentary with film historians David Del Valle, Lem Dobbs, and Nick Redman and a collection of original theatrical trailers.
