Marlon Brando (On the Waterfront) and Yul Brynner (Fuzz) star in the suspenseful 1965 World War II thriller Morituri, directed by Bernhard Wicki (The Bridge), written by Daniel Taradash (Hawaii), and shot by the one and only Conrad Hall.
The action takes place on a blockade-running freighter traveling from Yokohama to Bordeaux with a load of vital war materiel; Brando is a German deserter recruited by the British to help obtain the cargo, while Brynner is the ship’s captain, ready to scuttle his own ship if threatened with capture.
The film also stars Janet Margolin as a concentration camp escapee, and features a host of familiar faces from the European character actors scene of from the Sixties.
