New Release: The Brazen Bull DVD

Virgil Films issued the horror movie The Brazen Bull on DVD on Nov. 9, 2010, for a suggested retail price of $24.99.

Starring Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Jennifer Tisdale (Bring It On: In It To Win It) and model/actress Rachel Hunter (Benchwarmers), the independent film is reportedly “formulated” for fans of Saw and Hostel, as well as other movies of that torturous ilk.

The film focuses on Lauren (Tisdale) and her real-estate investing fiancé (David Frank Fletcher Jr.), who, trapped in an abandoned warehouse, inadvertently fall prey to a terrorizing killer (Madsen) who’s on the loose. This time around, though, the madman leads not with the emotion and anger, but rather chilling rationality.

The result is a wonderfully off-kilter chiller movie that never goes where we expect, but rather draws the audience deeper into a surprising world that has dark corners even in the brightest rooms.

The Brazen Bull DVD was outfitted with bonus features that include a making-of featurette and interviews with the cast and crew.
