From the creators of The O.C., CW’s Gossip Girl: The Complete Third Season was released on DVD on Aug. 24, 2010, by Warner Home Video. The five-DVD set includes all 22 episodes plus special features.
Starring Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen and Ed Westwick, the drama TV show is told through the eyes of an all-knowing blogger writing about Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In season 3, which features a new character played by Hilary Duff, hearts are broken and loyalties are challenges.
The show is based on the best-selling series of young adult novels by Cecily von Ziegesar.
The Gossip Girl season 3 DVD, priced at $59.98, comes with these special features:
- Gossip Girl Mode, an interactive viewing experience on episode 16, “The Empire Strikes Jack”
- “A Gossip Girl Fabulous Affair,” about throwing a party Gossip Girl style
- music videos of Plasticine’s “Bitch” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”

Gossip Girl‘s season 3 delivered an average of more than 2.8 million viewers, according to Warner.
