New Release: Good on DVD and Blu-ray

Good movie scene with Viggo MortensenGood, the Viggo Mortensen-starring World War II drama movie, debuted on DVD and Blu-ray on Sept. 28, 2010, from National Entertainment Media.

The 2008 independent film, which had a very limited release in theaters in 2009, follows John Halder (Mortensen, Lord of the Rings trilogy), a good man who writes about his family problems — a neurotic wife, two demanding children and a mother with dementia — in a novel advocating compassionate euthanasia. His social standing instantly advances when his novel is chosen by the Nazi party to push its agenda, but when Halder discovers the Reich’s horrific plans for the future, he must decide whether to do nothing or risk losing everything.

Good is based on the acclaimed Broadway play by CP Taylor. The movie also stars Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes), Jason Isaacs (Green Zone) and Gemma Jones (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince).

The movie was an Official Selection at the Glasgow International Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, the Rome Film Festival and the Dublin International Film Festival.

Priced at $24.98 for DVD or Blu-ray, the 96-minute movie is displayed in 16×9 aspect ratio, with 5.1 Surround Sound on DVD and DTS-HD on Blu-ray.

Special features include cast and crew interviews.
