New Release: The Disappearance of Alice Creed DVD and Blu-ray

The Disappearance of Alice Creed movie sceneCritically acclaimed British thriller movie The Disappearance of Alice Creed, starring Gemma Arterton (Clash of the Titans, Prince of Persia) and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes), was released on DVD and Blu-ray on Nov. 23, 2010, from independent film supplier Anchor Bay Entertainment.

The debut feature film from writer-director J Blakeson, The Disappearance of Alice Creed follows the kidnapping of a millionaire’s daughter (Arterton). Even though her kidnappers (Marsan and Martin Compston) have planned everything meticulously, Alice refuses to play along and pulls her captors into a battle of wills that strains the men’s relationship.

The DVD was priced at $29.97 and the Blu-ray at $34.99.

Both the standard and high-definition versions include these special features:

  • extended scenes with commentary
  • director’s commentary track
  • and storyboard featurettes.

The R-rated movie had a limited theatrical release, but the DVD and Blu-ray debut was the film’s introduction to its biggest audience.
