The hour-long program directed by Mark Olshaker features Kenneth Branagh (Pirate Radio) and Derek Jacobi (TV’s I, Claudius), two of Britain’s greatest actors, as they work on staging Shakespeare’s great tragedy for Britain’s Renaissance Theatre Company.

In 1988, rising star Branagh tackled the role of Shakespeare’s prince of Denmark for the first time in his professional career under the direction of celebrated actor Jacobi. Branagh was referred to by The New York Times as “the best Hamlet of his generation.”

The RTC production, which also marked Jacobi’s directorial debut, was lauded by critics and audiences alike.

Discovering Hamlet is narrated by another respected Shakespearean performer, Patrick Stewart (X-Men).

The DVD contains more than three hours of bonus features, including behind-the-scenes footage and a new, exclusive interview with Jacobi.
