Sherlock Season 2The BBC’s brilliant detective TV show Sherlock gives us only one complaint: The seasons are too short!

Like its first season, Sherlock: Season Two has only three episodes. They are 90 minutes each, but we’d still like more of these fabulous stories and witty dialog.

The British mystery series brings Sir Arthur Conan Doyle‘s characters into modern-day London. Benedict Cumberbatch (War Horse) stars as the exceptional detective Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) as Dr. Watson, a medical doctor back home after time with the Army in Iraq.

In the second season, Holmes and Watson get embroiled in the dangerous plans of the desirable Irene Adler (Lara Pulver, TV’s True Blood), investigate a supernatural beast lurking in eerie landscape and, of course, battle Jim Moriarty (Andrew Scott, Lennon Naked).

The Sherlock DVD contains these special features:

  • audio commentary for episodes “A Scandal in Belgravia” and “The Hounds of Baskerville”
  • behind-the-scenes featurette “Sherlock Uncovered.”
