New Release: Elf Ultimate Collector’s DVD and Blu-ray

Elf movie sceneWarner Home Video released a new DVD and Blu-ray edition of the new Christmas comedy classic movie Elf on Oct. 26, 2010. Elf: Ultimate Collector’s Edition, starring Will Ferrell (The Other Guys), was priced at $39.92 on DVD and $49.99 on Blu-ray.

The supersized Elf is packaged in a collectible holiday tin filled with a CD soundtrack sampler, a festive holiday stocking, gift tags and a magnetic picture frame.

Special features on these fully loaded editions include:

  • deleted scenes
  • fact track with history, facts and trivia about the movie
  • Elf Ultimate Collector's Edition tin DVD boxBeyond the Movie featurettes: “Deck the Halls,” “Christmas in Tinseltown,” “Santa Mania,” “Kids on Christmas”
  • All Access Pass featurettes: “Tag along with Will Ferrell,” “How they made the North Pole,” “Film School for Kids,” “That’s Wrap,” “Lights, Camera, Puffin!”
  • Buddy’s Adventure Game, Elf Karaoke, Read-Along, Elf Karaoke and more.

All were included in earlier DVD releases of the movie.

Released in theaters in 2003, Elf was directed by Jon Favreau (Couples Retreat) and tells the story of a man (Ferrell) who was raised as an elf tries to find his true identity. James Caan (TV’s Las Vegas), Bob Newhart (The Bob Newhart Show) and Mary Steenburgen (Back to the Future III) also star.
